It took awhile for No. 9 Brennan to get rolling, but when it did, the Bears were tough to tame. Oklahoma State commit Jahmyl Jeter rushed for four TDs as Brennan defeated Warren 45-14 at Farris Stadium.
Jeter only needed 14 carries to finish the evening with 147 yards. His first TD run was a 25-yard run to tie the score at 7. His fourth came with 6:19 left in the second quarter as the Bears pulled away. Brennan would rush for 325 yards on 33 carries, which is nearly 10 yards per clip.
Jordan Martinez threw for 200 yards and rushed for a TD, while Alexander Wise caught five passes for 129 yards.
It will not get any easier for Warren next week as it opens District 28-6A Zone B play against No. 2 and unbeaten O’Connor at Farris Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 7.B.J. Greene got the start at quarterback for the Warriors and finished with 139 passing yards and a TD. Devin Moore finished with 102 yards and a touchdown for Warren. Greene attempts to recreate the magic that led a comeback earlier this season against Madison, but it was to no avail.
After dropping its first three games of the season, Brennan will be Idle in Week 6 and will return to action against Holmes on Thursday, Oct. 12 at Gustafson Stadium.
