Steele 68, Vela 58:
Tons of energy and folks in attendance from last nights game of Regional Semifinals pitting the Steele Knights against the Vela Sabercats, with the Knights taking the game 68-58.
Steele’s senior Alijah Comithier had 22, with sophomore Langston Love putting 15 on the boards. The Sabercats Noah Sekinger was responsible for 24 of the 58 total points in the game. Amongst the many key plays, defensive rebounds were a driving factor in Steele’s win aside with their offensive power.
Vela’s season ends with the loss as Steele moves onto Regional Finals against Laredo Nixon.
UPDATE: The Knights improved to 30-8 with the win over Laredo Nixon on Saturday to advance to the 6A State semifinals on Friday, March 8, 2019, at the Alamodome Steele will take on Klein Forest.
