It was the Isaiah Williams to Joshua Cobbs show on Thursday night at D. W. Rutledge Stadium.
The Wagner Sophmore quarterback and receiver combo connected four times for 63 yards and three scores as the Class 5A Thunderbirds beat Sam Houston 43-6.
Overall, Williams completed 4-of-6 passes for 63 yards and three touchdowns. Joshua Cobbs scored on touchdown passes of 14, 7 and 38 yards.
LJ Butler ran for two touchdowns, Jordan Patterson added a rushing touchdown.
Houston’s lone score in the second quarter came on a 10-yard reception to Lation Jones.
What’s next? Thunderbirds will travel to San Antonio to matchup against Lanier, while Hurricanes have a bye week.
