Veterans Memorial senior quarterback Kahliq Paulette put on an offensive show Thursday night, leading his team to a 63-28 victory against Brackenridge at Alamo Stadium.
Paulette ran the Patriots offense with razor-sharp accuracy, finishing 6-for-9 for 229 yards and four touchdowns. Receivers Darius Guess (89 and 54 yards touchdowns), Isaac Barrera (30-yard touchdown) and Robert Garcia (36-yard touchdown) all had big outings, with Guess exceeding 140 receiving yards.
QB Kahliq Paulette paced Veterans Memorial with 96 rushing yards and two touchdowns. … JC Solitaire led the Patriots potent ground attack that churned out 237 yards and averaged 6.7 yards. He rushed 8 times for 45 yards and had scoring runs of 2, 7 and 22-yards.
Brackenridge: Julian Cameron threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score for the Eagles, Keith Fennell returned a fumble 75 yards for a score late in the 4th quarter.
What’s next?: Veterans Memorial will take on Highlands Owls at the Alamo Stadium, Brackenridge will travel to Wagner Thunderbirds at D.W. Rutledge Stadium.
