You could not imagine a better way to finish out a high school football career. On Saturday afternoon, 5’7, 155-pound spark plug Doryen Littlejohn of Stevens left it all out on the field as he rushed for a career-high 341 yards and four touchdowns as the Falcons defeated Marshall 28-7 to round out the 2017 season for both teams.
Stevens led 7-0 at halftime thanks to a 1-yard touchdown run by Littlejohn with 9:59 remaining in the first quarter. In the second half, Littlejohn went off. Littlejohn scored on runs of 48, 20, and 44 yards in a 4:44 span as Stevens suddenly found itself with a 25-7.
Marshall also got on the board in the third quarter as Arizona State commit Stanley Lambert returned his second kickoff of the season for a touchdown to avoid the shutout for the Rams. Marshall finished with a 2-8 record on the campaign and was without its starting quarterback for a majority of the season. Sophomore Dylan Poore and freshman Kvontavious Rockett will be amongst the key returnees in 2018.
