O’Connor 42, Taft 0
Quarterback David Dodd threw for three touchdowns as O’Connor remained unbeaten with a 42-0 victory over Taft on Thursday night.
All three of Dodd’s scoring strikes came in the second quarter as the Panthers raced out to a 35-0 halftime advantage. Dylan Murray, Sammy Castillo, and 6’4 Chase Locke all hauled in touchdown passes from the steady-handed senior. Dodd finished 10-for-15 for 161 yards on the evening.
Jackson Blietz, Zion Taylor, and Jordan Maye all rushed for touchdowns to pace the Panthers.
O’Connor defense was up to the task, holding the Raiders to one total yard in the victory, including minus-15 yards rushing.
After a bye week, O’Connor (5-0, 4-0) faces a massive district test on October 12 with unbeaten Brandeis (4-0, 3-0). Taft (2-3, 1-2) will attempt to snap its three-game losing streak against Holmes (0-4, 0-3) on Thursday, October 11.
