O’Connor 35, Warren 21
After a slow first quarter where both teams didnt score, O’Connor found its airways in the 2nd quarter to pull away from Warren for a 35-21 home victory.
The Panthers picked up their first points when David Dodd connected with John Locke for a 34-yard touchdown pass. Just before the half Dodd found Sam Castillo for a 26-yard touchdown.
The Panthers were able to take a 14-0 lead at halftime.
After the half, Zion Taylor found his footing, Taylor rushed for 68-yards and three touchdowns for the Panthers. Taylor scored on runs of 13, 32, and 7-yards.
Warren’s QB Anthony Cisneros engineered an offense in the second half, Cisneros passed for over 165-yards connecting with Samuel Stanford (7) and Kyle Elder (13 and 51), but it was not enough.
