Munford 28, Talladega 15

Munford High School made the most of its opportunities, converting three Talladega turnovers into touchdowns during a 28-15 Munford Lions victory Friday.

This was Munford’s first win under new head coach Michael Easley.

The Lions had an impressive game dominating in the air and on the ground.

The first turnover occured on the opening kickoff, the Lions recovered, in a couple of plays later, Munford’s J. Tuck threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to T.D. Parker to put the Lion’s on the board.

The Lions went on to capatilize off two more Tigers turnovers giving the Lions a 22-7 lead going into half time.

The Lions held on to win the game 28-15.

Talladega Tigers will stay home next week in face Childerburg Tigers, while the Munford Lions host the Central Clay County Volunteers on Friday, September 6. 2019.
