Miamisburg moved to 4-0 on the season with a 30-13 victory over perennial state power Wayne 30-13 on Friday night.

The Vikings featured an offense with a nice blend of the run and the pass, as quarterback Tate Vongsy completed 9 of 13 passes for 124 yards and a touchdown while adding another 77 yards on the ground.

Jon Yerkins rushed for 103 tough yards and a pair of scores to pace the Miamisburg offense.

Miamisburg will take to the road to face Troy next Friday. Wayne has dropped two straight games after falling last week to Archbishop Hoban.

An intriguing race is developing in the Great Western Ohio Conference (GWOC), as Miamisburg, Troy, Northmont, and Springfield all are tied with 4-0 marks thus far in 2018.

WAYNE (2-2) 6 7 0 0 13
MIAMISBURG (4-0) 0 16 7 7 30
