Clemens stifled Madison 28-0 in an impressive shutout Friday night at home in Lehnhoff Stadium.
The Buffaloes defense recorded its first shutout of the season and Clemens lineman Basilio Pequeno recovered a turnover in the second quarter which resulted in the only score in the half.
Clemens led at the half 7-0.
A dominant second half that featured a 95-yard kickoff return score from Clemens cornerback Vicente Perez.
The Buffaloes (1-0) will travel to San Antonio, for a non-league game against the MacArthur Brahamas this Friday. The Mavericks (0-1) will travel to Austin to battle Bowie Bulldogs in an attempt to get the first win of the season.
