Brandeis 42, Clark 7
Jordan Battles threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score as Broncos defeated the Cougars 42-7.
Battles was 6-for-8 passing for 116 yards, and two touchdowns to Josh Suarez (11-yards) and Cristian Medina (12-yards).
Broncos blocked a Cougars punt setting up the first touchdown of the game, QB Jordan Battles scores on a 4-yard run.
A few plays later, Brandeis’ Rangel Nova scores on a run of 58-yards.
Broncos Cristian Medina hauls in an 11-yard pass from QB Jordan Battles to get into the end zone giving the Broncos a 28 point lead going into the half.
Lightning could be seen in the East during the 2’nd quarter and at halftime as Clark Cougars band took the field. Brandeis was able to have their homecoming celebration without rain.
Brandeis picked up two more rushing touchdowns in the third by Nova Rangel and Tyler Lopez.
Clark’s lone score in the 3rd quarter came when Damien Paulmino returned a fumble for 30-yards. Oziel Contreras kick was good.
The game ended in the 3’rd due to lightning. Brandeis wins the game 42-7.
What’s next? Brandeis will face off against the Brennan Bears, Clark will host the Marshall Rams.
