SA Brandeis District 28-6A enters Region IV-6A Division II playoff undefeated (11-0 overall) while District 26-6A champs Clemens from Schertz, TX is (10-1).
Jordan Battles QB for the Broncos was first to get on the board with a touchdown and a good extra point by Xavier Lopez in the first quarter 7-0. Clemens Vicente Perez gets the Buffaloes into the end zone with a 28-yard rushing touchdown. The extra point is good by Noah Villegas to tie at 7 each remaining in the first quarter. With only 44 seconds left in the first the Broncos tack on another 7 points with a short step into pay dirt by Corion Holmes 14-7 Brandeis.
The Buffaloes strike back, early in the second quarter, with a pass to Micah Lenius completed for a TD. The extra point is good 14-14 with 11:15 on the clock. Jordan Battles hook up with Alex Palomino for a Broncos touchdown 21-14. The Broncos lead at the half 21-14.
With 5:36 remaining in the third quarter Brandeis Corion Holmes picks up another touchdown for 28 yards. The extra point is good 28-14 Broncos.
Brandeis extends their lead in the fourth quarter with yet another TD by Corion Holmes and a good extra point by Xavier 35-21.
Jordan Battles was the MVP rushing 27 times for 193 yards, one TD, and 184 yards passing.
Brandeis wins 35-21 to continue their playoff drive facing Vela Sabercats (9-3 overall) from Edinburg, TX.
