Central State outscored Tuskegee 26-15 in the second half to get the 40-36 victory on Saturday.
Central State got on the board first when RB Terraris Saffold scored on a run of 1-yard within the first three minutes of the game.
Trent Mays threw second-half touchdown passes of 5-yards and 32 yards to Kevin Greenhow and 68-yards to Terraris Saffold and Mays ran for a 1-yard score.
Mays completed 19-of-39 passes for 376 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 18-yards and one touchdown on 6 carries. Terraris Saffold ran for 91 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries. Jerry Lanier added nine yards rushing on 5 carries with one touchdown.
Kailen Abrams had a big impact on Marauders’ defense, finishing with nine tackles.
Tuskegee’s Ahmad Deramus threw for 300 yards and three touchdowns and Justice Owens ran for 52 yards and scored on runs of 12-yards and nine yards.
The Marauders improved to 4-5 overall, Golden Tigers slipped to 5-4.
Central State will host Lane College nest Saturday at McPherson Stadium.
