Central State 45, Lane 22

Central State kicked off the final game of the 2018 season by outscoring Lane 28-12 in the second half to get the 45-22 victory on Saturday.

Christopher Lewis opened the scoring for the Marauders on a 94-yard fumble return. K’Jamus Sanders added a 52-yard interception return for a score.

Marauders led at halftime 17-10

Terraris Saffold opened up the second half scoring on a 66-yard run, Saffold went on to rush for 214 yards a career-high.

Trent Mays completed 8-of-17 passes for 137 yards and one touchdown.

Kailen Abrams had a big impact on Marauders’ defense, finishing with 13 tackles and one sack.

Lane’s Marcus Reynolds threw for 311 yards and three touchdowns.

The Marauders improved to 5-5 overall, Dragons slipped to 3-6.
