San Antonio High School boys basketball featuring Brennan Bears (23-6) and Warren Warriors (19-9) on Feb 8, 2019, at Northside Gym.
Brennan Bears take the court strong in the 1st quarter with Jaden Moore dropping a pair of three-point shots. Jacari Sanders and Norman Beckford contributed 4 points each culminating in a 6 point advantage for the Bears 19-13 at the end of the first quarter.
Not to be outdone, Warriors shuts down Bears in the 2nd quarter 18 points to Brennan’s 9 with Matt Owens putting up 5, Marcus Varela with 4, and Isaac Gamboa with 3. Halftime score becomes 28-31 with Warren in the lead.
The 3rd quarter was evenly matched with Brennan scoring 20 points to Warrens 16 giving the lead back to Brennan by 1 point at 48-47 heading into the fourth quarter. Brennan took off in the 4th putting up an impressive 28 points to Warren 9 making a final score 76-56 Brennan.
The Bears Jacari Sanders finished with 27 points and Jaden Moore had 19. The Warriors Jayden Campos scored 14 points followed by Nick Vann and Marcus Varela each with 11.
