The game tied up again at 60 with only 20.3 seconds on the clock. O’Connor gets fouled but only picked up one of the free throws opening the door for Broncos Tanner Brown who put up the final shot ultimately giving Brandeis the win 62-61. The Broncos started off the game with an 11 point lead at the end of the first quarter. By halftime, Brandeis was in the lead 36-29.
The Panthers started chipping away at the deficit by scoring more points than Broncos in the last three quarters and tied the game at 56 points each with just 1:42 left to play. By 1:04 remaining O’Connor took the lead 59-58. The game had become a back and forth contest with fans on their feet cheering their teams and the players scrambling for more points.
Tanner Brown led the Broncos with 16 points, Jordan Wood finished with 12 points, Andrew Lazinbat with 11, and Kyle Schaefer added 10 points. O’Connor’s Brendan Wenzel led all scorers with an impressive 31 points, scoring 16 points in the second quarter
