Raheim Moss found Larry Stephens for a 20-yard touchdown pass in overtime to give Springfield a 33-26 victory over Wayne.
Despite the rain and low temperatures, the stands were full of fans to watch the battle between Wildcats and Warriors.
Jeff Tolliver put the Wildcats on the board first with a 20-yard rushing touchdown.
Wayne’s Rashad McKee threw a 28-yard pass to Steven Victoria, McKee also scored on a 1-yard run.
Leonardo Howard Jr. intercepts a pass that resulted in a Warriors field goal to send the game into overtime.
The Wildcats moved to 8-1 with the victory and will face Fairmont on Friday night, while Warriors dropped to 6-3 on the season. Wayne will stay home to battle Trentwood-Madison.
