Levi Williams – Smithson Valley
The Houston commit got the offense rolling as Smithson Valley claimed its first win of the season with a 52-33 victory over New Braunfels Canyon in the Comal Bowl. Williams completed 15-of-28 passes for 167 yards and two touchdowns, but his 203 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the ground were the major difference.
Small School Shoutout
John Hodge – Pettus
In a 40-14 rout of Brooks Academy, Hodge rushed for 376 yards and five touchdowns. It was not Hodge’s season high after he exploded for 420 yards earlier in the season. For the season, Hodge has 133 carries for 1,424 yards. Pettus, 5-0, did not attempt a pass in the victory and only has 17 passing attempts the entire season.
