Battling Bishops 51, Landsharks 48

The Bishop England boys varsity basketball team won Friday’s home game against Oceanside Collegiate Academy Landsharks by a score of 51-48.

The Battling Bishops controlled the first half of the game with ease, Landsharks could not find an answer for Bishop England Daniel Brooks (C) who scored 14 of his 18 points in the first half.

The Battling Bishops had a comfortable lead going into the half 37-19.

The Landsharks HC Quinton Hollis encouraged his team greatly during the half time break. The Landsharks held the Battling Bishops to only six points in the 3rd quarter as they closed in on the lead 45-36.

The Landsharks came back late in the 4th, but Battling Bishops Hagler scored in the last few seconds with a three-pointer to close the game 51-48.
